No, I didn’t go to Ethiopia but how cool would that be?! This stone came from a seller in Creede, CO when they held their annual gem show…IN A MINE! Seriously it’s the neatest location for a gem show. I wanted to try my hand at opal shaping and it turns out to be incredibly hard. Never the less, I made this lovely ring!
