I did this piece as an homage to the spirit of women everywhere with a special nod to the spirit of New Mexico. The women I have met here are some of the most powerful, inspiring women I have had the honor and pleasure of meeting. The strength of women is so often not in our back, though we have that too, but so much in our hearts. We carry the weight of our families in our heart. Sometimes that weight is light and other times it is heavy. The strength of women working together and carrying that love in their heart fortifies us all for whatever is to come with even more love, joy, and community.
